The company was founded in 1977. At the time, it operated under the name Metallwarenfabrik Bempflingen GmbH. The company owner and founder Erhard Prettl quickly recognized the market opportunities with the production and distribution of metal components, mainly as a supplier in the niche sector for seat manufacturers.

Over the years, the company very successfully acquired a high level of competence with the processes of welding, punching and production of laser and bent parts and assembly of subassemblies.

In the early 1990s, BHG Alkatrészgyártó Kft was acquired as a 100% subsidiary and integrated into the PRETTL group of companies with the aim of utilizing and combining the advantages and synergies of both companies.

In early 2017, the company headquarters was relocated from Bempflingen to Pfullingen (approx. 35km south of Stuttgart). The company moved into a larger building with modified, modern and expanded production facilities. An internal plant logistics system regulates the weekly flow of goods and components between the two plants in Hungary and Germany and to customers.

At the Pfullingen plant, the company focuses on the production of welded assemblies with automated welding robots, as well as on the production of laser and bent parts for aero and automotive metal assemblies. The central functions of management, sales & marketing, controlling, procurement, project management and quality assurance are located here.

The experience, expertise and knowledge of the employees is an important guarantee of success for the company. The satisfaction and appreciation of the company towards its employees is reflected in their long service with the company. These factors are the basis for the success of the company and for our claim of high customer satisfaction.

  • Production aerospace tooling

Since 1994, the company has been operating independently as BHG Alkatrészgyártó Kft. within the Prettl Produktions Holding. Over the course of its existence, the company has always adapted quickly to the economic and technical changes in the environment thanks to its market proximity and customer orientation.

The company was founded in 1951 and gained a good reputation in the 60s and 70s with the production of telecommunication devices. In the early 90s, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, BHG was integrated into the PRETTL Group as a 100% subsidiary of PMC. BHG, which currently employs around 450 people, has developed over the years into a major specialist and manufacturer of metal components and assemblies.

BHG possesses a high level of understanding for complex products and is a specialist for small and medium component series. Deep drawing, punching, welding, tube bending, powder coating and assembly of metal components are the core expertise that sets the company apart from the competition in terms of bandwidth.

The aerospace tooling business unit produces important components for the aerospace industry – with a focus on non-flight equipment – mainly for the maintenance and overhaul of aircraft and engines. This workflow requires a high level of precision steelwork.

BHG is also an outsourcing specialist: Companies outsource entire business areas and customize services on a commission basis. As a service provider, BHG produces the customer's products at the outsourced production facilities of the customer and also takes over the complete management of the suppliers employed.

The goal of BHG is sustainable development through the modernization of technologies and the continuous optimization of work processes in accordance with the needs and capacities of the employees. As part of the growth plan for the coming years, further production areas were acquired, additional buildings were constructed and existing production halls were modernized.
